Tallarino, Adeline F.

Adeline F. Tallarino, 91,of Rome passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Rome Memorial Hospital with her loving children and grandchildren by her side. Born in Andover, MA on December 23, 1921, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Strano Squadrito. She was raised and educated locally. On November 5, 1939 she was united in marriage to Natale "Nate" Anthony Tallarino with whom she shared a blessed union of 50 years prior to his passing on April 11, 1989. She worked at Union Fork and Hoe Co. supporting the war effort assembling bayonets and later retired as a meat cutter from Loblaws. Adeline possessed a kind heart, filled with love for her family. She shared time with her grandchildren and family, was an excellent cook and took great satisfaction in sharing Sunday meals with family and friends. She will be remembered for her vibrant character and deep love for her family. Adeline is survived by a daughter, Maria C. Tallarino of Rome, two sons and daughters-in-law, Francisco "Frank" D. and Lazetta Tallarino of Rome and Natale "Nate" A. and Yvonne Tallarino of Raleigh, NC, ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, all of whom she adored, two sisters, Rosaria "Sadie" Perry and Providence "Tootsie" Rossi, both of Rome, two sisters-in-law, Angela Tallarino and Doris Squadrito, several nieces and nephews and two special friends Harriet and Betty. She was predeceased by five brothers, John, Fred, Ralph, Charles and Paul Squadrito and three sisters, Grace Gentile, Josephine Dote and Ida Carambia. The family is very grateful to all the caregivers at Bethany Gardens and the 2E nursing staff at Rome Memorial Hospital for their compassion and sensitivity. Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant and where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in the Rome Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in the church vestibule from 12:15 to 1:00 prior to the Mass.
