Aiello, Delores A.

Dolores Arlene Aiello, 80, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2013 in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 7, 1933 in Roanoke, Virginia a daughter of John and Florence Bower Goggin. She attended schools in Virginia. On July 10, 1950 she married John J. Aiello, Sr., a blessed union of 53 years. John passed away on April 14, 2004. She had worked for many years at the Rome Holiday Inn. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved to shop, cook and crochet, and enjoyed going to Spressos. Dolores had a passion for living life to the fullest. She was a true inspiration to us all. She was always active in her community. Dolores is survived by her beloved children, three daughters and two sons-in-law; Teresa Falitico of Rome, Olivia and Michael Bailey of Vernon and Carmelita and Fran Zabek of Medford, Long Island, a son John J. Aiello, Jr. and his special friend Kim Commisso of Rome, cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Tonya and Russell Miller, Tricia and J.R. McClintock, Rob Nill, Sara and Duane Laribee, Nina and Greg Congdon, Heather Nill and special friend Mike, Marissa Falitico and fiancée Anthony Kirk, Kristina and Chris Bronson and John J. Aiello, III. And nine great grandchildren, Jade, Lucas, Vinnie, Quintin, Aiden, Emma, Jared, Chloe and Nicholas, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Joseph Sestito as celebrant, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
