Marcello, Nancy L.

Nancy L. Marcello, 83, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in Rome Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 18, 1930 in Rome the daughter of Ernesto and Agatina Barrack Taliani. She was married to Dominick “Donny” Marcello for 25 years. She attended Rome Schools. She retired from DDSO in 1985. Cooking and taking care of her grandchildren was Nancy’s enjoyment. Nancy is survived by her beloved children; John Marcello and (Debbie DeSeve), Ernest “Ernie” Marcello and (Molly Castro) and David and Donna Marcello, all of Rome, cherished grandchildren, Tina and Randy Yuckel, Michele and Jason Amo, Ernie Jr. and Tija Marcello, Cherese Marcello, Kirstin and Tim Safin and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great granddaughter Carrie Yuckel, a sister Mary DiMaggio and brothers, Joseph, William, Arthur, Armand, Anthony and Bruno Taliani. The family would like to thank the staff of the Betsy Ross Nursing Home. Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in the church vestibule prior to the Mass from 10:45 to 11:00 a.m. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. Contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Envelopes will be made available at the church.
