Garofalo, Yolanda F.

Yolanda F. Garofalo, 92, of Rome passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2013 in the Betsy Ross Nursing Home. She was born on July 23, 1920 in Rome the daughter of Elidamo and Catherine Uvanni Fazzi. On August 22, 1975 in Rome she married Ralph Garofalo. She was a graduate of RFA Class of 1938. She worked for many years and retired as a bookkeeper for Simpkins Clothing Store. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Yolanda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ralph, three dear cousins, Antoinette “Toni” Quattro, Florence Gotti and Margaret DelPico, two nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Morris and Yolanda Fazzi and Frank and Marietta Fazzi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in the church vestibule from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the Mass.Please omit flowers.
