Campanaro, Michael J.

Michael J. Campanaro, 79, of Rome passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born on May 6, 1933 in Rome a son of Herman and Jennie Tallarino Campanaro. In 1955 he was married to Frieda Hert. He was a graduate of RFA, class of 1951. He served with the US Navy during the Korean War. He had been retired from Griffiss Air Force Base. Mike is survived by his beloved family, his wife of 58 years, Frieda, two sons, Michael R. Campanaro and Thomas A. Campanaro both of Rome, cherished grandchildren, Brandi, Amber, Anthony and Michael Campanaro, his precious great grandchildren, Jordan, Armani, Luke and Elayna, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Herman and Joan Campanaro of AZ and Robert and Phyllis Campanaro of Rome, several nieces and nephews who were close to him and many close and loyal friends that are to numerous to mention. Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
