Graziano, Barbara E.

Barbara Ellen Graziano, 80 of Rome passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at home. She was born on October 5, 1932 in Rome a daughter of Thomas J. and Mary Bovee Sherman. On April 25, 1953 in St. Peters Church she married Joseph F. Graziano, a union of 59 years. She was a graduate of RFA, class of 1950. She was co-owner and operator, with her husband, of Golf Knolls Golf Course. She was an avid golfer and working with ceramics and belonged to the Senior Woman’s Golf League. Barbara is survived by her beloved family; her husband Joseph, a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and William Pilson of Charlestown, SC, two sons and a daughter-in-law, J. Michael and Cindy Graziano of Rochester and Edward J. Graziano of Rome, her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Jonathan and Lindsey Graziano, Larisa Graziano, E. Paul Graziano and Sarah Salmon, Kristina and Kevin Benner and Angela Pilson, great grandchildren Isaiah Harris, Angelo Graziano and Nikko Graziano, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Estelle and Edwin Rapke of Ava, Betty Lou and Robert Martinez of Rome and Joanne and Fred Stellato of Westmoreland, a brother and sister-in-law Richard and Marlene Sherman of FL, a brother-in-law Jack Smith of White Lake and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Ester Beers, two brothers Francis Sherman and Thomas Sherman and a sister-in-law Lucille Smith. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care for their caring of Barbara. Memorial funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating with all welcome to attend. The family will receive relatives and friends in the church vestibule immediately following the Mass. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Bottini Funeral home, 120 W. Embargo St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to Hospice and Palliative Care. Envelopes will be available at the church.
