Joseph “Joe” Brawdy
It is with great sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Joseph “Joe” Brawdy on July 4, 2020. He was born on August 26, 1979 in Rome to John J. and Carol A. Dellork Brawdy.
Joe was predeceased by his dad, John J., maternal grandparents Frank and Mary Dellork, paternal grandparent Berhardine Brawdy and his uncle Mark McGowan.
He is survived by his mom, Carol; a brother and sister-in-law, John C. (Julie) Brawdy; a sister and brother-in-law, Jaclyn (Nazie) Adolfi, all of Rome; special niece Jayda Adolfi and loving nephews Gianni and Santino Adolfi, Riley Tanner and Jackson Brawdy; a special aunt Marilyn McGowan; several other aunts, uncles and cousins and his loving faithful dog Lennox.
Joe lived in Rome most of his life, graduated from Rome Free Academy and attended St. John Fisher College. He worked at Tri-Valley Beverage, McGraith Beverage and most recently at Anderson Distributors. He loved family get-together’s and enjoyed cooking, especially outdoor barbecues.
Joe was a true friend, ready and willing at a moment’s notice to lend a hand or offer helpful suggestions. Anyone who knew him will recall the sheer pleasure of his company; how good he made us feel, how free to be ourselves around him and how much we will miss him. “What you saw was what you got” with Joe. If you were lucky enough to be his friend, you would know what a generous, easy going, fun-loving person he was.
Joe had so much goodness, so much capability to bring happiness to others, the world is a far lesser place without him. He will continue to stay with us through memories and the laughs and love he brought our way. Our heartache is beyond measure and so is the love we hold for him in our hearts forever. “We love you Joe, be strong”.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14th at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Private burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass. Please wear a mask in Church.
There will be no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
