Vincent J. Nardozza, 83, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2020 in the Rome Memorial Hospital.

Vincent was born June 21, 1936 in Oneida, the son of Vito and Eva Nardozza.

Later in life, Vinny achieved Division Chief status at Rome Air Development Center. He was described as “one of those unique individuals who combined technical and management skills with vision, and a keen sense of knowing how to get the job done”. He retired after 32 years of dedicated service with numerous awards and recognitions.

Vinny enjoyed spending time with his family at his camp on Oneida Lake. He greatly valued his family, his morning coffee, and his boat. He was a respected and highly dependable man who enjoyed the simple things in life. Vinny would ride his bike to his favorite destinations every day and enjoy the beautiful Sylvan Beach Sunsets every night. Above anything else, Vinny took great pride in ensuring the safety and happiness of his loved ones.
