Lorraine Campbell

Lorraine Campbell, 71, of Rome, NY, passed away in her sleep on December 14th, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 11th, 1948, to the late Angeline and Gene Bartolotti.

On April 22nd, 1967, she married her high school sweetheart, Norm Campbell. Together they raised two sons, Gene and Norman, and a daughter Elizabeth. Lorraine had various jobs through the years, including Griffis Child Development Center, and all involved her warm heart caring for others.

Lorraine is survived by her loving husband Norm who stayed by her side through all life had to offer. She is also survived by her son Gene, of Escondido, CA, son Norman, Las Vegas, NV and daughter Elizabeth and her husband Michael Gulluscio, Queens, NY. Lorraine has three beloved grandchildren: Micajah, Anthony and Christopher. She is also survived by her four sisters, one brother and five brother-in laws: Janine Bartolotti and Joni Cofrancesco, Ann Duran, Angela and Mark Semo, Lisa and Ross Tuzzolino, John Bartolotti, Wayne Campbell and John Faust, and Mark Campbell. Lorraine is predeceased by her brother in law Bill Campbell (Philomena Campbell). In addition, she is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

To know Lorraine, was to love her. She had a warmth that radiated through her. She found great joy in hosting others and cooking for them. She loved going to the casino with her husband, swimming in her pool, dancing with her sisters and spending time with her grandchildren. Her warmth extended to all creatures – she had a way with animals – and especially loved her rescued mouse, Little Diddles.

Lorraine will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

The family would like to thank Hospice & Palliative Care for their care and compassion shown to Lorraine.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday evening, December 18th from 4-6 p.m. at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 West Embargo St. where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Services will be held at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
