Dolores “Dee” Lorraine Philips Ernenwein

Dolores “Dee” Lorraine Philips Ernenwein, 88, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in the Rome Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Rome on September 2, 1931 the daughter of John and Gemma (Spadafora) Philips. Dolores graduated from RFA, class of 1950, and attended MVCC. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church and on June 30, 1956 she married Louis Ernenwein, Jr. Always a career woman, she held positions at GAFB and the Rome School District from which she retired; in addition she worked with her husband’s business, Lou’s TV Sales & Service.

Dolores was an active member of her community and a firm believer in volunteerism. She devoted many years to the Boy Scouts of America, the Zonta Club of Rome and teaching church school. She enjoyed music, dancing, cooking, gardening and most of all spending time with her cherished family and friends.

Dolores is survived by her beloved family, a daughter Helen (Bo) Singh and a son Louis (Beth) Ernenwein; cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Kevin) Timme, Sierra Ernenwein and Brett Ernenwein; great-grandchildren, Derek and Bennett Timme; a brother John (Tina) Phillipis, Hawaii; a niece Alisha, a nephew Landon and many beloved cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Louis in 1979.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday, October 14, 2019 in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Abe Esper as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
