Roseanne Mary Tewksbury

   Roseanne Mary Tewksbury, 69, of Rome and Raleigh, NC passed away at home on Monday, November 23, 2015 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

   She was born on April 9, 1946 in Newburgh, NY the daughter of the late Harold and Rose DeMeo Watkins.  She was married on October 19, 1969 to the late Bruce F. Tewksbury.

   Roseanne is survived by her beloved family, a son, Earl W. Tewksbury; a daughter, Angela R. Tewksbury; her cherished grandchildren,  grandsons, Tyler and Dominick Tewksbury; a granddaughter, Paige Tewksbury and a former daughter-in-law and special friend Amy Ferlo.

   The family would like to thank St. Catherines of Sienna in Wake Forest, NC. as well as Liberty Hospice for their exceptional care and patience during her final days.

   Roseanne was a devoted wife and mother to her two children who she adored and centered her life around.  She felt blessed to have her three grandchildren, who she showered with love and praise and claimed as her greatest gift in life.  Being an Air Force wife, Roseanne raised her family in several parts of the country.  Each city became a forever home as she made lifelong friendships along the way.  She will always be remembered as "one of the friendliest people" by her abundance of dear friends.  Even passing acquaintances had the pleasure of knowing her kindness as she shared her loving spirit with everyone she met.  Roseanne lived her life for the Lord.  She was a devout Catholic and belonged to the Catholic Daughter's Association.  She gave service to each Parish she attended and she especially held St. John the Baptist Church in Rome, NY lovingly in her heart. 

   Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant.  Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.

   Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9 to 10 at the Church.

   Flowers are welcome, however, donations to the SPCA in honor of Roseanne would also be appreciated as her kind spirit extended to the love and care of animals.  Envelopes will be available at the Church.

   Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
