Melissa loved her life and loved everyone in it. Melissa had a genuine warm smile that she took everywhere she went. She wore that bright smile despite Her poor health condition and proved to be an inspiration for all. Melissa is the definition of a true fighter and she fought her whole life in dealing with her heart condition. Through all of her trials and tribulations, Melissa would smile and say "it is what it is". Melissa had many friends and touched everyone that she met. She will be deeply missed by all and leaves a sense of hope in all that knew her. Her faith was strong and helped her to live a wonderful, happy and  peaceful life. Melissa always said that God had a special heart waiting for her, little did she know that it was his.  The family would like to thank Crouse Hospital ICU, 4N, and a special thanks to Lynne Shapiro and Dr. Boahene.
