Edward J. Paul

Edward J. Paul, 65, of Cleveland, NY passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Betsy Ross Nursing Home. He was born on November 2, 1952 in Utica the son of Jack and Catherine Eychner Paul. He was a machinist at Oneida Silversmith until his retirement. He was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed going to the Turning Stone Casino. Edward is survived by a brother Gary Paul of Oriskany Falls and close dear friends Tom and Judy Mirizio, owners of TJ’s Restaurant in Cleveland. Funeral services were private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St., Rome.

Angelo Milone

Angelo Milone, 94, of Rome, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 in the Rome Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born on July 13, 1924 in the Bronx, NY, the son of Gaetano and Bernadina Milone. On June 29, 1968 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rome, he married Jean Weyandt who passed away on September 9, 1995. He attended school in the Bronx. He proudly served with the US Army during WW II serving in Central Europe and Normandy. Angelo worked for Smart Time Manufacturing, Bronx, was a sewing machine mechanic for 29 years, foreman for Loomis Manufacturing from 1966 until 1975, and as a bartender for the American Legion retiring in 2000.
