William J. Walker,Sr., 69, long time resident of Westernville, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 29, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 8, 1947 to James and Ruth Pankhurst Walker and attended Holland Patent schools. Bill was joined in marriage to Frances J. Gruby on February 22, 1969. Patricia Ann (Stiefvater) Keator, 83, of Rome, formerly of Yorkville, passed away at home on Saturday, January 28, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Patricia was born on April 19, 1933 in Utica, the daughter of George and Anna Goppert Stiefvater. She was previously employed by Holland Farms, New York Mills School System and the Utica Water Board. Lucy M. Summa DeSalvo, 86, formerly of Rome, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at her daughter’s Michelle’s home in Virginia with her loving family by her side. She was born in Rome on December 29, 1930, the daughter of Vito and Carmella Oppito Summa. Lucy married the love of her life James V. DeSalvo at St. John the Baptist Church on May 14, 1955. She was a graduate of RFA, class of 1948 and a graduate of the Palmer School of Business. She worked for many years at the former Loblaws Grocery Store and held various rental positions in Rome and Virginia. Lucy loved singing, baking and cooking for her family.
